PARTNER CHIPPER

MM + FF for Time

50/40 Cal Bike + 50/40 Cal Row (Pair Total; Switch whenever)

50 Front Squats (135/95) (Pair Total; Switch whenever)

50 Box Jump Overs (30/24) (Pair Total; Switch whenever)

*CAP 15 Min

The workout begins with the two men seated on a bike and a rower. On 3-2-1-Go, both athletes will start working to accumulate 50 Cals on each piece of equipment. At any point, the athletes may get off their bike/rower and switch as needed. Once both the bike and rower clearly read 50 Cals, the pair will advance to the barbell for 50 total front squats shared between the two athletes. There is no minimum work requirement. Similarly, once the front squats are complete, the pair will advance to the box for 50 total Box Jumps shared between the two athletes.

Once Complete, the men will cross the finish line which will signal the two women to start on the bike and rower. Women may sit on the rower/bike prior to the men finishing their work, but may not start accumulating calories until signaled by the judge. The workout is scored based on the total time it takes both pairs to finish the chipper.

Note: Men will be responsible for resetting their lane after work is complete. This is not for time; however, the lane must be reset prior to the female athletes advancing from the bike/row. Resetting the lane includes: replacing the mens [135#] barbell with the womens [95#] barbell, and flipping the box jump height from the mens height [30”] to the female height [24”].

Bike / Row
Equipment must start with 0 Cal clearly displayed. Athletes will work until both pieces of equipment reach the required number of calories before advancing to the barbell. Should one piece of equipment finish sooner than the other, the athlete must wait at the bike/rower before both athletes can advance.

NOTE: Female Athletes will be responsible for resetting their own rower / bike. To do this, the athlete on the rower will press [Menu] to “wake up” the unit then [Just Row] – Units will be set Calories and the display on “Large View”; display settings must remain that way. For the Bike, press [Stop/Reset] to “wake up” the unit then [Start] to begin Biking. On both pieces of equipment THE JUDGE MUST CLEARLY SEE THE DISPLAY READ “0 CAL” BEFORE WORK BEGINS. If the display resets while waiting for the male athletes to finish, no leniency will be given – It is still up to the team to reset the machine to “0 cal” before beginning work. Volunteers will be on site to assist prior to the event start.

Front Squat
This is a standard front squat. Barbell will be taken from the ground. Hip-crease must pass below parallel, and full extension of the hips and knees must be achieved for a rep to count. A squat clean of the first rep is allowed. Partners may not pass the barbell back and forth, once a set is complete the barbell must return to the ground before the next athlete begins.

Box Jump Overs
A two foot takeoff is required when jumping onto the box. The athlete must jump onto the box; however, knees and hips are not required to be extended. The rep is complete on the opposite side of the box. Step downs are allowed. The non-working athlete must wait even with the last row of barbells.

MAX LIFTS

Team Event 2 – Strength Pad

In 3 minutes one M/F Pair will each establish a max:

3 RM Thruster

* 1 minute after the lifting window is complete, athletes will start the Sprint Crawl;
* 1 minute after the lifting window is complete, the second pair of athletes will begin their lifts.

In 3 minutes one M/F Pair will each establish a max:

5 RM Overhead Squat

* 1 minute after the lifting window is complete, athletes will start the Sprint Crawl;

Each platform will have a mens (45#) and womens (35#) barbell, 4×45#, 2×35#, 4×25#, 2×15#, 2×10#, 2×5#, 2×2.5# plates, and two sets of collars.

A male and female bar will start unloaded with weight for each lifting platform in a clearly designated area. On 3-2-1-Go, the first male and female pair will start loading their barbells to make as many attempts at a 3RM Thruster as time allows. Once time is called, the pair will have 1 minute to transition to the start of the Sprint Crawl. During this time, the second male and female will advance to the platform. The second M/F pair may not touch the barbells during the transition. At 4 minutes on the clock, the second pair will begin to establish a max 5RM Overhead Squat. Likewise, after 3 minutes (7 minutes on the clock) the pair will transition to the Sprint Crawl. Score is the total of the Male 3RM Thruster + Female 3RM Thruster + Male 5 RM Overhead Squat + Female 5RM Overhead Squat.

During a lift, only one athlete and one barbell may be on the platform at a time. Barbells not being used must be rolled off of the platform. The non-working athlete may not load / unload their barbell while their partner is working. Clips must be used during all attempts.

Thruster
The barbell will start on the ground – no racks will be provided. The thruster begins with a front squat, with the hip crease below parallel. Then, in one continuous motion, the barbell will be lifted overhead to full lockout of the knees, hips, and elbows. A squat clean may be used for the first rep. “Thruster-Jerks” / a rebend of the elbow when the barbell is overhead, is a No Rep. All reps in the complex, must be completed before time is called for the load to count.

Overhead Squat
The barbell will start on the ground – no racks will be provided. The Barbell will be lifted into the overhead position anyhow. The rep begins when the hip crease reaches below parallel, the rep is complete when the hips and knees are fully extended with the load overhead. A squat snatch for the first rep is allowed, so long as depth is met. All reps in the complex, must be completed before time is called for the load to count.

SPRINT CRAWL

Team Event 3 – Field

For Total Time
Each M/F Pair – Park Lap + Low Crawl

The male and female pair that completed the 3RM Thruster in the “Max Lift” event will go first. They will begin at 4:00 on the clock. On 3-2-1-Go, they will complete the park lap (including a low crawl) for time. Partners will be required to run holding a rope keeping them together. Their time will be logged. At 8 min on the clock, the second pair (who completed the 5RM Overhead Squat in the “Max Lift” event) will begin their part. Each pair will complete for two separate scores which will be totaled for a single event time.

ODD MARCH

For Time
2 Rounds
20 Syncro KB/DB Facing Burpees
25 ft Syncro OH Walking Lunges

2 Rounds
20 Syncro Shoulder to Overhead
25 ft Syncro OH Walking Lunges

2 Rounds
20 Syncro Hang Snatches
25 ft Syncro OH Walking Lunges

*Performed with 2 KBs (1.5/1 pood) and 2 DBs (50/35)

*CAP 15 Minutes

The workout begins with athletes standing facing their equipment. On 3-2-1-Go, all 4 athletes will begin to complete 20 Synchronized Burpees. Once complete, as a team they will pick up their equipment and lunge down the field. This will continue for a total of 6 rounds (note: the non-lunging movement changes every 2 rounds) until the team has advanced the entire way down the field. Score is time to complete the workout. Athletes will be required to reset their lane prior to the start of the next event. Athletes may not switch implements.

Synchro KB/DB Facing Burpees
Chest of all 4 athletes must be on the ground facing their equipment at the same time. A two foot take off is required, but two foot landing and synchronization on the jump is not. In addition, step-ups and step-downs are allowed.

Synchro Shoulder to Overhead
All 4 athletes will perform the shoulder to overhead using a single arm, with no assistance from the non working hand. The rep starts with all 4 athletes holding their equipment in the front rack position – touching the shoulder. The rep finishes with all 4 athletes locked out overhead with elbows, knees, and hips fully extended. Synchronization will occur at the the bottom and top of each movement.

Synchro Hang Snatches
All 4 athletes will perform a snatch using a single arm, with no assistance from the non working hand. The rep starts with all 4 athletes holding their equipment below the crease of the hip at the same time, and finishes when all 4 athletes are locked out overhead with elbows, knees, and hips fully extended. Synchronization occurs at the bottom and the top of the movement. There is no switching requirement.

Synchro Overhead Walking Lunge
All 4 Athletes will start the lunge in a locked out position (knees and hips; so long as the KB is overhead, the rep is fine) all 4 athletes will lunge forward together touching their trailing knee to the ground. Synchronization at the bottom is not required, but will be required at the top of each rep – standing. Athletes will continue lunging until all 4 athletes have completed 25’. Should a “no rep” be issued, all 4 athletes must complete a one armed synchro thruster before continuing.

They will continue in this fashion for 4 minutes. After 4 minutes, Athlete 1 will move to the finish, and Athlete 2 will prepare for the second 4 minute AMRAP. They will then complete the AMRAP of Double Unders and Toes to Bar. Once complete they will advance to the finish, and Athlete 3 will move onto the competition floor for the Double Under and Bar Muscle-up couplet. Once finished the final athlete will take the floor for the Double Under / Rope Climb Couplet.

This event will take place as four separate 4 min AMRAPS, separated by a one minute transition time, each to be completed by one of the four athletes on the team. Score will be total reps complete across all 4 AMRAPs.

Double Under
This is the standard double-under in which the rope passes completely under the feet twice for each jump. The rope must spin forward for the rep to count.

Pull Up
This is a standard chin-over-bar pull-up. Dead hang, kipping or butterfly pull-ups are allowed as long as all the requirements are met. The athlete’s arms must be fully extended at the bottom, with feet off the ground. At the top of the movement, the chin must break the horizontal plane of the bar.

Toe to Bar
In the toes-to-bar, the athletes must go from a full hang to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. At the start of each rep, the arms must be fully extended and the feet must be brought back behind the bar and behind the body.

Bar Muscle Up
In the bar muscle-up, the athlete must begin with, or pass through, a hang below the bar with arms fully extended and the feet off the ground. Kipping the muscle-up is acceptable, but pull-overs, rolls to support and glide kips are not permitted. The heels may not rise above the height of the bar during the kip. At the top, athletes must have the elbows fully locked out while they maintain support above the bar with shoulders over or in front of the bar. Athletes must pass through some portion of a dip to lock out over the bar. Only the hands and no other part of the arm may touch the pull-up bar to assist athletes in completing the rep.  Once on top, the hands must stay in contact with the bar, and athletes must maintain support with their arms. Removing the hands and resting while on top of the bar is not allowed.

Rope Climb
The Rep starts with the athlete on the ground. The athlete will climb to the top of the rope anyhow, completing the rep by clearly making contact with the top of the rig using their hand. A controlled descent is encouraged but not required.
